I have seen some messages on this subject. One said an synthetic hydraulic oil(Amsoil) fixed the cold weather noise from the hydraulics. My question is, does NH have an synthetic motor and hydraulic oil? If not, would using another brand void my warranty? I am getting a new TC33D and would like to start out with Synthetic if is the right thing to do.

Thanks,

Bob, I would wait until the 50 HR service to switch to synthetic in the engine. Synthetic is so slippery it might not allow the engine to break in properly. Be sure the oil you use is rated for diesel engines. Amsoil has a special diesel oil. I wouldn't bother with synthetic hydraulic oil unless you use your tractor extensively in the winter. If you do, I would switch at the first interval that was close to November or so. Enjoy the new tractor, I'm sure you made a good choice!

I agree with pacesetter that you should wait a few hours before switching to synthetic engine oil. My friend was told to wait 150 hours for good break in before he switched.
It was even a New Holland. ....
